Welcome!

This free eco-friendly lifestyle magazine, EarthlyAlternatives.com, is for people who want to find a balance between living in a fast paced, industrialised world and reducing the impact of living in that world on themselves, their family and the planet.

Here we will try to explore the issues that affect us all personally, body, mind and spirit as well as how we can reduce our effect on the earth and our environment for a sustainable future.

With global warming, peak oil, difficulties in providing basic resources such as food and water, all increasing the strain on people and the environment around the world. It is a time for all of us to consider the impact of our actions, not only on ourselves but also the ecology of the entire planet.

In each new edition you will find information and advertising for back-to-basics human and earth friendly products to reduce our dependence on chemicals and resources. To find ways to give to the earth and the worldwide community, rather than take from it.

This FREE bi-monthly magazine is organic in nature. It is designed for an international audience and the shape, form and direction it takes depends largely on the interests of our readership. You can add to the future development of this magazine through submitting articles and e-mails to the editor.

Because the content is to an extent driven by those who submit articles and e-mails to the editor, the publisher does not necessarily agree with everything printed on this site. It is printed to allow open discussion and a platform for those with some information to share or an opinion that needs to be voiced.

Welcome to the forth edition of EarthlyAlternatives.com.

In this edition Elizabeth Wiggins from Feng Shui Living tells us how Feng Shui can help us have a Health Home and Raithe Handiman from Blessed Earth outlines the benefits of Organic Textiles. With all the difficulties experienced lately due to the world financial crisis, Max Coulson from Sydney has submitted a timely article on how you can cut your daily costs. While Julie Reed talks about slowing down, enjoying the journey and keeping your cool on the roads. Christmas can be a very joyous time but for some it can be a very lonely time, filled with depression. We have an article on Depression and simple things you can do to beat the blues at Christmas, in the article The Black Dog at Christmas. Mad Meg has written an article fit for the season, telling us all about the pagan origins to many of our Christmas symbols and Tricia Granata tells us how we can get into the Christmas mood with aromatherapy.

As we rely largely on articles submitted by our readers and advertisers and this site is designed to foster open discussion; opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the editors and publishers of earthlyalternatives.com or Duneen Enterprises.
